Why Lingxian

Jianzipu says how to play, not how long

Rhythm, tempo and weight are absent from historical scores; you decide them phrase by phrase. Nobody can do that for you. The trouble that comes after you decide, Lingxian can take over.

  1. Where to break a phrase, where to slow down: you settled it line by line, but jianzipu cannot record it. Months later you open the score and cannot remember why you chose what you chose.

As you enter the notes, the staff and jianpu lines grow with them, so the rhythm is written down. Play it back and you hear at once whether the phrasing is right.

  2. A piece goes through several revisions, each saved as a new file. Later, finding which version changed which note means laying two printouts side by side and comparing symbol by symbol.

Every revision is kept. Pick any two versions and the changed symbols mark themselves. Want to go back? One click.

  3. You send it to your teacher; they screenshot it, circle things in red, send it back. Three rounds later nobody can say which version and which symbol is being discussed.

Send a link and everyone lands on the same score. Who changed what, and what they said beside it, travels with the score.
